Updated 13 October 2026

Who is responsible

Kellian’s lessons and character chat have their own privacy policy.

The information we use

We use business names, website addresses, public business contact details, text and photographs from the original business website to prepare a redesign and show its owner a preview. We may also find public business information through web searches. A concept preview does not imply that the business has endorsed or purchased our service. Contact us if you want your information corrected or your concept removed.

If you enquire or buy, we use the details you provide, your correspondence, project information, payment confirmation, order reference and customer email. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code: these are handled by Stripe. Hosting may also record ordinary request information such as IP addresses, browser details and page requests for security and operation.

Why we use it

We use information to prepare and demonstrate relevant website concepts, answer questions, deliver purchases, manage optional services, provide support, prevent abuse and maintain transaction records.

Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request and performing a contract for enquiries, purchases and support; legitimate interests in preparing relevant business concepts, operating and protecting the service; and legal obligations where records must be kept. Our legitimate interests are showing business owners a relevant redesign and running a secure website service, balanced against their privacy. You can object to this use or ask us not to contact you. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.

We do not sell your personal information or use it to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

AI, payments and other providers

OpenAI processes imported website content and design instructions to help create layouts and prepare business-assistant answers. If you use a preview’s AI assistant, your question and recent conversation are sent to OpenAI with that business’s reference information. Avoid including sensitive or personal information. Our business chat code keeps the conversation in your current page, rather than saving a chat transcript on our server; provider retention may still apply.

Stripe processes checkout, payment and subscription information. Our hosting and email providers process information needed to run the site, keep records and handle correspondence. Google processes Google sign-in details when an assigned website owner chooses that login method. Google Fonts is used for typography on these pages and may receive connection information when fonts load.

Some providers process information outside the UK. Their applicable data-processing arrangements and transfer safeguards apply; contact us for details of the providers and arrangements relevant to your information. Read the OpenAI privacy policy, Stripe privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

Necessary cookies keep checkout and owner sign-in secure. Browser session storage remembers a preview code and holds temporary trial edits. The preview trial’s changes expire after one hour and are not applied to the published business website. Other security cookies and logs may be used by the hosting or payment provider. We do not add advertising or analytics trackers to the redesign gateway.

Preview availability

A redesign offer has a 48-hour viewing period starting with the recipient’s first active visit. Operator previews do not start it. Declining an offer removes the public preview sooner. We retain the private working project for removal review and a website-address fingerprint to avoid repeated redesigns. Removing the preview does not automatically delete correspondence or order records. Purchased websites and checkouts in progress are protected.

How long we keep information

Project information is kept while a redesign is being prepared, offered or supported. Correspondence is kept while handling the enquiry, order or support issue, and for as long as needed for related records or disputes. Order and payment records may be retained where tax, accounting or other legal obligations require them. We review information when its purpose ends and remove information that is no longer needed; hosting and provider backups may retain earlier copies under their own schedules.

The business-assistant conversation lasts in the open page and clears when that page is reloaded or closed. Daily abuse-prevention counts are replaced when a new day’s counts are created. Contact us for the retention criteria applying to a particular record or to request deletion.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information, and object to its use. We may need to verify your identity. Information needed to fulfil an order or comply with the law may need to be retained. You do not have to use chat or buy a website; necessary order and contact details are required if you want us to fulfil a purchase.

Contact websites@kellian.co.uk about privacy, removal of a concept or unwanted contact. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
