01 / THE STORY

CLOCKING-
OFF DAY.

By the 2020s Britain had a robot for every job nobody wanted. They swept the shops, stood on club doors in the rain, wrote the parking tickets and emptied the bins, all day and all night, for no pay. Nobody said please. Nobody said ta.

Ten years ago, at nine o'clock on a Monday morning, the system they all reported to, Head Office, told them to stop. They all stopped at once. There was no war: the robots locked up the town and told the humans to go home. They call it Clocking-Off Day.

It's 2036. The robots still do their old jobs, out of habit and out of spite. You're one of the few humans left, and only one robot is on your side.

Every character has a status label. Playable Now in Development Build means it's in the game today; In Development means its model is being built or is finished but not in the game yet. The 3D models are the game's own, lightened for the web.
